[Delicious richness like dark chocolate] Santa Clara Farm, Guatemala 200g
Santa Clara Farm's deep, high-quality richness, dark chocolate-like aftertaste, and clean, pleasant aftertaste have made Santa Clara Farm a popular product since Kitami Coffee opened in 2015 . The beans are carefully roasted to prevent the surface from turning black, resulting in a delicious lingering aftertaste.
The owner of Kitami Coffee visited Guatemala in February 2019 . We have had a long-standing relationship with Santa Clara Farm, and we strongly sympathize with the farm owner's enthusiastic way of thinking. By using such high-quality beans, you can experience the delicious taste from the first bite.
The three volcanoes surrounding the ancient capital of Antigua highlight the country's heritage and beautiful landscape. Antigua is one of the most famous regions among the eight regions recognized by Anacafe.
In 2000 , 34 plantation owners came together and established the Antigua Coffee Producers Association, which has worked to protect Antigua's Controlled Designation of Origin ( appellation ) and make Antigua coffee valuable. In addition, in the Antigua pilot project using GPS supported by Anacafe, geographical information of each farm, soil, climate conditions, and other producer information will be compiled into a database, and today's specialty coffee will be developed in the direction of value similar to wine. It has become a model for appellations in the region.
Antigua coffee was once used as a high-quality coffee in Germany and other European countries, but with the development of the specialty coffee industry in the United States, its consumption area shifted to the United States. In fact, its strong flavor and richness are comparable to dark roasts, making it one of the few precious coffees in the world today.
The Celaya family has been growing coffee for over 100 years. The current owner, Mr. Ricardo, has expanded the Santa Clara farm, which has been passed down from generation to generation, and has also added production processing equipment and a cupping room, and has worked hard to produce high-quality coffee. Additionally, due to the aging of the population, we send staff ( pickers, etc. ) to farms where coffee production is no longer possible, in an effort to continue coffee production in Antigua.
